England face Belgium on Thursday evening in the final group game of their World Cup bid, with qualification to the knockout rounds already secured.
It remains to be seen what Gareth Southgate’s consequential mindset will be when it comes to team selection – whether he’ll field his strongest starting XI to maintain momentum or ring the changes to protect England’s most important players from injury.
In truth, it will probably end up being something in between – not exactly England’s strongest starting XI, but a competitive one nonetheless.
One change Three Lions fans appear very keen on is replacing Manchester City star Raheem Sterling, who Transfermarkt value at £81million, with Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford.
The City ace has struggled to reach the same standards as some of his attacking accomplices at this World Cup and when we asked England supporters who should start against Belgium, it was Rashford who came away from our poll with 68% of the vote.
